Recently, the fabulous Michelle, of Michelle Ma Bell Photography, worked with her husband to turn their home office into a creative space for both Michelle and her clients. The results were phenomenal and I immediately asked Michelle if I could share them on the blog, already feeling inspired with a few new ideas for our own office space!
Starting a DYI project can be daunting, but Michelle had a vision and her husband jumped in to help (if you visit her blog, you will see a wise reference to a happy wife leading to a happy life)! Luckily, they had the space in their home, but it needed to be infused with some of the gorgeous vibes you get when looking at Michelle’s portfolio.
The first step was to clear out the space and prepare the walls.
They then added a wood panel wall treatment, which was finished in white to provide contrast to the freshly painted cool, blue walls.
With the DIY projects complete, Michelle moved on to my favorite part – décor! In order to create a space that was both inspiring for herself and inviting for her clients, Michelle created zones within the room, maximizing the space and uses for the room.
She has a desk area for editing photos:
and seating for when she meets with clients, with ample wall space to showcase her beautiful work.
Using beautifully chosen accents in shades of pinks, blues and golds, Michelle has also added little touches such as a coffee area (which can come in handy for those late night editing sessions).
Michelle set out with a vision for an office that reflected not only her personality but her business model and working together with her husband, she has created the perfect space to achieve her business goals!
